Home Depot Sold Recalled Products Years After Recalls Issued

The Consumer Products Safety Commission (CPSC) says that Home Depot, and salvagers and recyclers who got items from the retailer, have been selling 28 products that were recalled between 2012 and 2015. The products pose hazards including fire, burns, shock or falls.

Home Depot sold about 1,300 units to consumers and sent 1,010 to salvagers or recyclers who could have sold them to consumers, the commission says. Consumers should stop using the recalled products immediately and use the contact information below to receive a refund, a replacement or a repair.

The recalled items are:

CE Tech 1,000 Ft. Riser Cable, recalled in April 2013. The riser cable does not meet fire resistance standards for riser cable and poses a fire hazard. Contact Home Depot at 800-394-7519 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday or online at www.homedepot.com and click on Product Recalls.
