Lawsuit filed against St. Jude Medical

May 8, 2000 |

The first personal injury lawsuit in Minnesota involving defective Silzone heart valves was filed in Ramsey County District Court, State of Minnesota, against St. Jude Medical Inc. of Little Canada. The lawsuit was filed on behalf of a Massachusetts woman, Linda Baez, who experienced leakage around the heart valve, resulting from endocarditis, an infection of the membranes lining the cavities of the heart.
