Texas Jury Rules Against Ford in Explorer Rollover

The verdict is another legal setback for the manufacturer of America's most popular SUV.The jury in Zavala County District Court ordered Ford to pay $31 million in compensatory damages in the case, according to a Ford spokesperson.
Two of the four occupants in the 2000-model Explorer were killed in the rollover accident in May 2003.
Ford said it will appeal the verdict.
Ford is battling scores of lawsuits over the safety of Explorers manufactured through the 2001 model year.
