Three More Sexual Abuse Lawsuits Filed Against Archdiocese

Two men claimed today they were molested decades ago by the Reverend Louis Miller, a retired priest accused of abuse by dozens of plaintiffs.
Miller pleaded guilty this week to multiple counts of sexual misconduct. The charges involved 21 victims.
One new plaintiff, William Douglas Ludwig, claims he was sexually molested by Miller over a two-year period. At the time, Ludwig was an altar boy at Saint Elizabeth of the Hungry Church in Louisville.
In another suit, James Chestnut, accused Miller of taking him inside a church and sexually molesting him during a football game at his neighborhood parish in the early 1970s.
In the third suit filed today, a woman accused a former priest, Joseph Carrico, of sexually molesting her over a four- to five-year period in her Louisville home. The plaintiff, Carol Beckman Eversmann, said the alleged abuse began in 1967 when she was ten.
