Emergency personnel who first responded to the American tragedy of the World Trade Center were put at a high risk due to exposure to toxic dust and chemicals.
These victims, which include loved ones who lost someone, are being compensated by the victims’ compensation fund. Health conditions being compensated for include gastro-intestinal or stomach problems, respiratory issues, and even cancer. President Barak Obama signed a bill in 2011, known as the Zadroga Act, allowed for even more compensation and public services for the victims.
With Parker Waichman, we have the added benefit of attorney Matthew McCauley being a first responder. Matthew has been a paramedic for over 20 years and is a retired police officer. He was also on scene as a first responder at both 9/11 and the 1993 bombings. He is able to look at your case from the view of a responder and not just an attorney on the outside. Along with the rest of the law firm, he can help responders and their loved ones get the needed health care and compensation provided by the government for your injuries. The Zadroga Act may be able to help your family with litigation, compensation, education, as well as healthcare monitoring and treatment.
