When placing someone in a nursing home, it is a difficult and often heartbreaking decision. You want to make sure that your loved one is in the best place possible to ensure their safety and good health.
It’s even more disturbing as cases of nursing home abuse seem to be brought more into the light every day. Add to that a false story of what really happened to your loved one, and you have a serious nightmare.
Such is the case for one of our clients, whose loved one was found in bed with a hip fracture. Unexplained fractures are commonplace in nursing home abuse cases. Our patient went to bed and last they checked, he was fine – at least that’s what his records said. But we were able to bring a former charge nurse into the case. She formerly worked for this nursing home during the time of the injury. She had a completely different story. Not only was he not in bed, he was actually up and walking around on a very slippery, just waxed floor with slippery socks. The ineffectiveness of the staff led to this danger and then greatly increased their own problems when they chose to lie about it. Watch this video now to learn more.
