BROOKLYN, NY- According to Nbcconnecticut.com, a crash in Plainfield Connecticut reportedly killed a man from Brooklyn, New York on Monday, October 8, 2018, at approximately 10 in the morning. The victim, 71-year-old Michael John Niejadlik was traveling southbound on I-395 when he hit a guardrail, drove across the roadway and struck a tree. Niejadlik died at the scene of the collision.
The crash is still being investigated.
Fixed object crashes account for close to one-fifth of all traffic deaths. In 2014, 7,508 people were killed in crashes with fixed objects.
