Tegison Side Effects May Result In Birth Defects Lawsuits

Tegison | Lawsuits, Lawyers | Side Effects: Birth Defects, Liver Problems, Hepatitis, Increased Fluid Pressure On Brain, Pseudotumor Cerebri

Tegison is also know as Etretinate and is used to treat severe cases of psoriasis. This medicine was withdrawn from the U.S. market in March 1998 and the Canadian market in January 1996.

Because Etretinate has caused serious birth defects, do not use this medicine if you are pregnant or plan to become pregnant. Etretinate use has been linked to liver problems (hepatitis) and increased fluid pressure on the brain (pseudotumor cerebri). Others symptoms: yellowing eyes or skin, dark urine, stomach pain, unusual fatigue, headache, nausea and vomiting, or vision changes.

It is also recommended that Eetretinate not be used to treat children unless all other forms of treatment have been tried first and have failed. Etretinate may interfere with bone growth. In addition, children may be more sensitive to the side effects of the medicine.
