USA- The miamiherald.com reports that the MediNatura is recalling nasal spray, throat spray, and a cough syrup because the water-based products might be contaminated with microbes. The recall applies to the company’s “Clearlife Nasal Spray, Reboost Nasal Spray, Reboost Throat Spray, each in 20 ml bottles, and 125 ml bottles of Reboost Cough Syrup.”
While the company stated that it had not been made aware of any instances of illnesses related to the potential contamination, it is possible that microbial contamination could cause infections that may require medical attention. The recalled products should not be used.
The recall comes shortly after two other similar recalls. Ocean Saline Nasal Spray was recalled on September 24, 2018, and Cordaid’s cream and sprays were recalled on September 17, 2018. Both earlier recalls were also the result of the microbial contamination.
In August a massive recall of nasal sprays was issued by Product Quest Manufacturing. The August recall impacted eight different store brand lines of nasal sprays.
