
Lindenwood Car Accident
BROOKLYN, NY – According to an online news report posted on qchron.com, states that a Brooklyn driver tragically in a motor vehicle accident involving speeding. The motor vehicle accident occurred on Linden Boulevard in the northern section of Lindenwood, NYPD officers reported.
EMS crew discovered the 27-year-old man unresponsive on the side of Linden Boulevard. He had sustained severe accident injuries following a collision with a street light pole. According to the NYPD, the driver was headed east along Linden Boulevard just past 79th Street prior to the collision. The victim was transported by EMS to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where the victim was tragically pronounced deceased.
The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is currently investigating the accident.
According to Hank Gutman, the City Transportation Commissioner, this accident was an example of why the New York State Legislature needs to pass a law that permits speed cameras to operate 24/7. Mr. Gutman’s statement added that about one-third of fatal accidents occur during the hours the speed cameras are turned off.
