Construction Worker Fatally Pressed Between a Dump Truck and Work Truck in East Flatbush, New York (NY)

According to a news report published by nypost.com, a young construction worker was tragically killed when he was pinned and pressed between a dump truck and another motor vehicle in East Flatbush, New York. The news report states that the construction worker was standing in between two trucks when one of the two motor vehicles backed into the worker and tragically crushed the 24-year-old construction worker from Sunset Park.
The accident occurred at approximately 12 pm. The location of the fatal work accident was on Troy Avenue. The news report states that the accident happened when a dump truck backed into the worker and pinned him at the chest level to a second truck. According to police statements, the 31-year-old dump truck driver did not know that the victim was trapped behind his dump truck until several eyewitnesses informed him.
The victim was transported to Kings County Hospital, where the man was tragically pronounced dead. The dump truck driver waited at the accident scene to speak to the police. The fatal construction accident is currently being investigated by law enforcement.
The victim was with his colleagues at the time of the accident. The crew was dumping construction debris at the DeCostole Recycling and Transfer Station at the time of the accident.
