Fatal Queens Motor Vehicle Accident
Queens, New York – A news report posted on nypost.com states that three men were tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident that occurred Saturday morning in Queens, New York. According to the report, one of the victims was an aspiring Long Island rapper. Law enforcement stated that The men were driving in a “souped-up sedan “and accidentally launch from the skateboard ramp and were thrown into Newtown Creek. According to the report, this entire incident was witnessed by an individual.
The men were traveling westbound in a Honda Civic along Borden Avenue in Long Island City, New York. At some point, the driver tragically lost control of the vehicle by 29th St., crashed into a barrier, and then flew into the creek.
According to the news report, the vehicle was turning right, but the vehicle began to slide at the halfway point and then struck a concrete skateboarding ramp. This caused a vehicle to fly over a 15-foot fence and down into the creek. Fire department marine units and rescue divers responded to the scene within minutes. The victims were pulled from the car that was underwater approximately 10 minutes after the accident. The report states that the victims were in critical condition and were transported to Cornell medical University for medical treatment.
One of the victims was a father to two small children with another child on the way. He’s best described as being a kind-hearted man who was very funny and loved his family. The victim’s family declined to comment about the tragedy.
The New York Police Department’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is currently investigating the fatal accident.
