According to a news report post on NYPost.com, a 52-year-old man was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident involving a suspected drunk driver in Queens, New York, Friday morning. Law enforcement states that the accident victim was in his gray Toyota Camry and was traveling along Parsons Boulevard in Kew Gardens Hills at approximately 4:15 a.m. when a Mercedes sedan, driven by a 22-year-old man, collided with his Honda. The victim was on his way to his Queens hospital job when he was involved in the fatal T-bone accident, according to statements from the police. An additional two other vehicles were involved in the accident, witnesses said.
The victim was transported to Queens Hospital Center for emergency medical treatment. Unfortunately, the man succumbed to his accident-related injuries. He was later pronounced dead by the medical staff.
According to police statements, the 22-year-old man who was driving the Mercedes was arrested, and then he was taken into police custody on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. According to the news report, criminal charges are pending for the 22-year-old man.
