
Drunk Driving Accident on Staten Island
STATEN ISLAND, NEW YORK – A news report on nbcnewyork.com states that Four NYPD officers were involved in a serious motor vehicle accident caused by an alleged drunk driver. According to the department’s spokesperson, the alleged drunk driver crashed into the police vehicle on Staten Island. The spokesperson also stated that the police officers were in plain clothes and inside an unmarked pickup truck when the alleged drunk driver sideswiped their vehicle.
The collision occurred last Sunday morning at approximately 10 o’clock in the morning. The location of the accident was at Forest Avenue and Livermore Avenue. The four police officers were transported to Richmond University Medical Center with injuries, police stated.
Staten Island Police placed the driver under arrest. The suspect, a 39-year-old man from Staten Island, is several facing several criminal charges, including Driving While Intoxicated (DWI).
