Six People Seriously Injured in a Terrifying SUV Rollover Accident on Long Island, New York

LONG ISLAND, NY – According to an online news report by klfy.com, a severe SUV rollover accident in Long Island, New York injured six passengers.  A recently released video shows the SUV launching off of the Southern State Parkway highway, landing on top of two motor vehicles, and injuring six people.  Tragically, one of the severely injured, is an infant who was reported to be bleeding.  The accident was captured on a home surveillance video camera.  The video shows the SUV leaving the Southern State Parkway, crashing through some trees, striking a pickup truck that was passing through the area at the time of the accident, and crashing into a parked automobile.

The accident news story states that the SUV’s passengers were family.  The driver’s brother-in-law sustained a broken neck and a “fractured” lung.  The driver’s daughter-in-law had a serious knee injury, and her son was unable to move from head to toe.

According to the New York state police, the severe motor vehicle accident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on Sunday. The SUV accident occurred on old Britton road in North Bellmore, New York.  Two men inside the pickup truck and several neighbors worked hard to help rescue the family trapped inside the SUV until firefighters could arrive on the scene.  A passenger in the SUV stated her daughter-in-law was driving the SUV and that their SUV was struck by another vehicle from behind, causing the driver to lose control of the SUV.  The grandmother who was riding in the car stated that she thought they were going to die in the accident and that her son-in-law could be “crippled for the rest of his life.”

New York State Police are currently investigating the accident.
