
T-bone Accident in Kensington
BROOKLYN, NY – A news report on news12.com states that the NYPD has criminally charged a Brooklyn man for causing a severe T-bone accident that injured officers who were traveling in a police vehicle. According to the news report, the accident occurred at the intersection of Coney Island and Foster Avenues in Kensington.
Police stated that the driver, a 29-year-old man, has been charged with reckless driving, reckless endangerment, and several other moving violations.
The police reported that the accident occurred at approximately 6:30 pm when a police cruiser was answering an emergency call with its siren and emergency lights on at the time of the accident. The report states that a second vehicle on Coney Island Avenue passed other vehicles that were stopped at the red light and ran the red light causing the accident.
Police told the News 12 reporters that the second vehicle also hit a light pole. The NYPD cruiser then struck another vehicle that was at the intersection during the initial collision. A video camera’s footage shows an injured man lying on the ground as someone placed a call into 911.
The accident is currently under investigation, and there is no update on how injured the police officers were and their current medical condition. The accident is under investigation.
