UNIONDALE, NY – According to a tragic, fatal accident news story on cbslocal.com, a 15-Year-Old boy from Uniondale, New York, was killed in a car collision on Long Island. The victim was known for being a talented high school basketball player who was a “star in the making.” The people who knew the young man saw him as a teenager with a bright soul who excelled as a student and was named Player of the Year. Teammates of the victim gathered together to honor their friend and teammate at the school’s gym on Wednesday night.
Family members stated that their loved one was riding with three other teens. The boys were heading to the school gym to workout. The victim was tragically killed in an accident on Maple Avenue at Front Street in Uniondale, New York. Law enforcement officers state that the victim was riding in the backseat of a Honda CR-V. The Honda collided with a Toyota operated by an 87-year-old man at around 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The collision sent the Honda CR-V into a pole.

The victim’s basketball coach stated that the victim, his starting point guard, was swift on his feet and was a leader on and off the court. He was a natural leader and gifted in many ways.
The Nassau County Police is currently investigating the fatal accident and trying to identify the cause of the collision. The two teenagers who were with the victim were seriously injured and were transported to Winthrop Hospital. The young men are listed in stable medical condition.
