HUNTINGTON, NY – October 15, 2020 – According to an online news report published on Patch.com, two motorists were severely injured and trapped inside their cars after a collision in Huntington, New York. According to Suffolk police quoted in the new report, the motor vehicle accident occurred in the afternoon at approximately 2:30 pm. The two-car accident took place near Oakwood Road on Holdsworth Drive.
The Huntington Manor firefighters reported that the impact was so severe that both drivers involved in the motor vehicle collision were trapped inside their cars. Chief John Huntington, with the Manor Fire Department, requested a door pop. The firefighters from Rescue 11 responded to the auto accident and used the “jaws of life” to cut the drivers out of their motor vehicles. The Huntington Manor firefighters were called out to the scenes of the accident in order to extricate the drivers from their cars. The Huntington Community First Aid Squad assessed the medical condition of the two drivers and stabilized them. The two drivers are receiving treatment at the Huntington Hospital for non-life-threatening accident injuries.
