
Construction Scaffolding Collapse Lawyers
BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, BROOKLYN, NY – According to an online news report posted on pix11.com, a car collided into sidewalk shedding on Nostrand Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York. According to law enforcement officers investigating the accident, a sedan was heading southbound along Nostrand Avenue when it collided with the construction structure at around 2 in the morning. The accident occurred between Macon and Fulton Streets. Authorities reported that the collision caused about 70 feet of the sidewalk shed to fall onto the street below.
The driver of the sedan was able to exit their motor vehicle, police stated. The collapsed construction shed blocked the entranceway to many commercial buildings. The Department of Buildings issued two partial Vacate Orders affecting two buildings. The Vacate Orders remain in effect until the sidewalk shed wreckage has been removed and replaced, the Department of Buildings reported.
The accident is currently under investigation. The report states that it is not clear what caused the motor vehicle driver to collide with the construction scaffolding.
