
Electric Scooter Accident Injury Lawsuit
EAST HARLEM, MANHATTAN – According to an online accident report posted on pix11.com, an 86-year-old woman was seriously injured after she was struck by an electric scooter. The 86-year-old woman was attempting to cross a Manhattan street when she was hit.
the incident report states that the e-scooter driver, a 35-year-old woman, was heading west on East 104th Street when she hit the victim. The collision happened as the victim was walking south along Third Avenue, law enforcement authorities reported. The collision caused the elderly woman to fall and strike her head on the street. She sustained a serious head injury.
The news report states that the victim was transported by Emergency Medical Services to a local area hospital for medical treatment. the victim’s injuries were so severe that she was transported to another hospital for additional treatment. The e-scooter operator remained at the accident scene and spoke with law enforcement. The accident investigation by the NYPD Highway District’s Collision Investigation Squad is ongoing.
There were no reports of alcohol or drug intoxication involved in the accident. The pedestrian-scooter crash is currently under investigation by law enforcement. There were no reports of criminal charges being filed at this time.
