Jeep crashes
BAY SHORE, LONG ISLAND, NY – June 23, 2020 – According to an online news report published on DailyVoice.com, a 17-year-old boy from Brentwood, New York, lost control of his Jeep and crashed into a home located on Thompson Drive in Bay Shore, New York. The accident happened at approximately 1 a.m. on Saturday, according to the Suffolk County Police. The 17-year-old Brentwood teen was driving a Jeep westbound on Bay Shore Road close to the intersection Bay Shore Road and Thompson Drive.
The driver was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center located in West Islip, New York, to receive treatment of minor personal injuries. He received a ticket and court summons for “unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle,” according to Suffolk County Police. A passenger in the Jeep, a 16-year-old girl from Brentwood, New York, received injuries as a result of the accident. She was taken to Southside Hospital located in Bay Shore, New York. She was hospitalized to receive treatment of serious personal injuries. The other two passengers were injured, and they were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center to receive treatment of their minor personal injuries.
The news report stated that the Jeep was impounded by law enforcement in order to perform a safety check of the vehicle. The accident is currently under investigation. Investigators are asking the public to come forward if anyone has any information regarding the accident.
