A news article posted on norwoodnews.org states that a 34-year-old man was tragically killed in a motorcycle-vehicle accident along the Major Deegan Expressway in Bronx, New York. NYPD responded to the severe motorcycle accident last Tuesday at approximately 10:40 in the morning. 911 dispatchers sent NYPD officers and emergency responders to the accident on the southbound Major Deegan Expressway and the East 233rd Street exit in the Bronx.
As the NYPD officers arrived, they found the 34-year-old motorcyclist lying on the road. He was found with severe bodily trauma. EMS first responders arrived and transported the motorcyclist to the St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was tragically pronounced deceased.
A preliminary accident investigation report stated that the motorcyclist was riding a Honda Shadow motorcycle in the left lane of the Major Deegan Expressway. The motorcycle struck a vehicle parked in the left traffic lane. The motorcyclist was thrown off of his motorcycle. The NYPD did not file any criminal charges at this time, and the accident is currently under investigation by the NYPD’s Collision Investigation Squad.
