STATEN ISLAND, NY – A news report on silive.com states that a Mariners Harbor man was tragically killed in a morning motorcycle crash in Travis, New York. According to the NYPD, a 35-year-old man from Harbor Road, was taken to Staten Island University Hospital’s Ocean Breeze campus. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the hospital.
According to police, emergency first responders responded to an emergency 911 call that reported a motor vehicle accident at 1200 South Avenue. Upon their arrival at the accident scene, the law enforcement officers saw a 35-year-old male who was unresponsive and unconscious. He had suffered serious trauma to his body and head.
According to a media release from the NYPD’s Deputy Commissioner for Public Information, the motorcyclist was riding his motorcycle southbound along South Avenue when he suddenly lost control and was, he was thrown from the motorcycle.
According to a NYPD spokesperson’s statement, the accident investigation is currently being conducted by the New York City Police Department’s Collision Investigation Squad.
