
Fatal Motorcycle Accident in Trenton
TRENTON, NY – According to a news report on wktv.com, New York State Police are investigating a fatal motorcycle accident that occurred in Trenton, New York. The accident report released the 70-year-old victim’s name. The motorcycle operator was from the town of Wells in Hamilton County, New York.
New York State Police stated that the motorcyclist was struck by a motor vehicle driven by 60-year-old woman from Land O’Lakes, Florida. State Police reported that the Land O’Lakes woman was not hurt in the collision, but she received a traffic ticket for “failing to yield the right of way at a stop sign.”
The news report states that the fatal motorcycle accident transpired at around 2:30 in the afternoon at the intersection of State Route 365 and Prospect Depot Road in Trenton, New York. According to the New York State Police, the Land O’Lakes driver was heading northbound on Prospect Depot Road, entered the intersection, and then tried to turn westbound onto Route 365 when the woman allegedly failed to yield the right of way to the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was heading east along Route 365 when the collision occurred.
The motorcycle operator was tragically pronounced deceased at the accident scene. The New York State Police are currently investigating the accident.
