LINDENHURST, NY – August 17, 2020 – According to an online news report posted on patch.com, a motorcycle rider was severely injured in a motorcycle accident in Lindenhurst, New York. According to Suffolk police, the 31-year-old man from Amityville was operating a 2013 Suzuki motorcycle north along New Highway. Then the motorcycle collided with a 2014 Honda CR-V that was heading southbound and turning east onto Route 109 at around 5:30 p.m. The motorcycle rider’s name was withheld pending next of kin notification. The motorcyclist was air transported by helicopter to Stony Brook University Hospital with severe injuries.
The operator of the Honda CR-V, a 51-year-old woman from Lindenhurst, New York, was taken to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York, for treatment of personal injuries. Law enforcement impounded both motor vehicles for safety checks. Law enforcement is asking those who have information about the accident to contact the First Squad Detectives.
