Hit-and-Run Accident in Brooklyn
BROOKLYN, NY – A news report posted on nypost.com states that a motorcyclist was grievously killed in a hit-and-run accident in Brooklyn, New York. The fatal motorcycle accident occurred last Sunday.
The news article states that the 45-year-old motorcyclist was driving his Suzuki motorcycle at approximately 4 in the morning when he collided with a dark car. The location of the accident was at the intersection of Marcus Garvey Boulevard and Halsey Street, according to law enforcement officers.
The victim, a man from Charlotte, North Carolina, was transported to Interfaith Hospital. The NYPD said that the motorcyclist suffered “severe trauma to the head” and he was pronounced deceased at a local area hospital.
According to the NYPD, the at-fault Toyota Camry fled the accident scene after striking the motorcyclist. The NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad is currently investigating the motor vehicle accident. No further details were provided.
