BROOKLYN, NEW YORK – According to an online news story posted on cbslocal.com, a 20-year-old woman lost her life in a suspected drag racing accident in Brooklyn, New York. According to the report, the driver has not been arrested, and the victim’s family is calling for justice.
The family of the victim is also demanding change and is demanding tough legislation targeting drag racing. Police stated that the victim was struck and killed by a suspected drag racer who was driving a red Dodge Charger. The accident occurred last week at around 3 a.m. The motor vehicle purportedly hopped onto a curb and hit the victim and a man waiting at a bus stop on Utica Avenue. The man survived the collision.
The NYPD states that two other motor vehicles were involved in the incident, and the Charger’s driver jumped into one of the other vehicles and fled the fatal accident scene.
