Out of control car hits pedestrian

PLAINVIEW, LONG ISLAND, N.Y. — Nassau County police are investigating a horrific accident the resulted in a pedestrian and motorist sustaining severe injuries. Fortunately, according to CBS New York, both the pedestrian and the driver of the car that went out of control are expected to make a full recovery. There is no information available about what might have precipitated the crash or whether the police have placed the driver of the vehicle under arrest. Nassau police did not say when their report would be completed.

An out of control vehicle ran down a pedestrian and them plowed through a wall at a Plainview shopping center. The violent crash happened just before 3:00 p.m. Law enforcement officers told the media the pedestrian who was struck by the vehicle sustained broken bones in the incident. Nassau County Police also said that the driver of the vehicle was also hurt. However, the police did not specify the type of injuries the driver sustained in the crash. Medical providers told police that both people injured in the incident should make complete recoveries.

Police are still trying to put all of the facts together. A media helicopter relayed video of the crash scene to CBS New York. Yellow crime scene tape could be seen guarding what appeared to be a garage doorway. A large piece of metal lay on the ground near that wall of the shopping center a short distance away from the portal. The narrative of the story suggests that the vehicle hit the pedestrian first and then went into the store. Police did not comment if the pedestrian was inside or outside of the store when he or she was hit.

Nassau police did not release any information concerning the make or model of the vehicle that hit the building. Additionally, the police did not discuss the residences of the people involved in the incident. All parties involved in the incident were very fortunate that no one was killed.

My experience with Parker Waichman was very professional and thorough from the first day I met with Gerard Ryan regarding my 9/11 claim. He explained in detail how the process works. The paralegals on my case were wonderful in instructing me how to gather my information and what to do at the different stages of the claim. I first worked with Christina Morace followed by Shelly Davis and concluded with Gina Viti. Each of these women was very detailed and helpful in instructing me on what I needed to do. They were very professional, kind and pleasant in all my telephone conversations with them. I must give extra credit to Christina the first person that communicated with me after meeting with Gerard. At a certain stage Shelly Davis began working with me and I found her to be very professional, pleasant and detailed in her instructions. The final stage of the claim I worked with Gina who was also very kind and pleasant. It would have been a pleasure if I had met them in person. Thanks to each of them my case was successfully filed and accepted. Thanks Parker Waichman. Great job Gerald, Christine, Shelly and Gina. No hesitation in recommending you.
