
Drunk Driver Crashes His Car Into LI House
LEVITTOWN, NY – According to an online news report posted in patch.com, an alleged drunk driver from Levittown crashed his motor vehicle into his neighbor’s home, injuring an 84-year-old woman. According to the Nassau County police, the 84-year-old woman sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the accident. She was taken to a local area hospital, the Nassau County police reported.
Nassau County police stated that the 53-year-old man from Levittown was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated following the accident into the home. The accident happened at around 5 in the evening on Polaris Drive. At some point, the driver was unable to keep his motor vehicle on the road, and he collided into a home and causing serious property damage to the house. Photographs taken of the accident show a Jeep inside a ranch-style home as law enforcement officers and the Emergency Services Unit attempt to extract the vehicle from the woman’s home.
The “intoxicated” driver sustained some injuries and was treated at a local area hospital under police escort. He was charged with driving while intoxicated and was arraigned in Mineola today. The accident is currently under investigation.
