Manhattan Pedestrian Accident Lawsuit
According to a news report on nydailynews.com, a motor vehicle collision involving two motor vehicles caused the vehicles to crash into a fruit stand and a Manhattan outdoor dining area. The accident injured two children and seven adults. The news report states that a “seizure-stricken van driver” crashed with another motor vehicle, and the two vehicles collided with an outdoor dining area and a fruit stand. Within just a few seconds, there were eight people injured in by the flying debris Friday morning.
The 44-year-old fruit stand owner stated that he was “in shock” the hours after the 8:45 a.m. collision. He also stated that he had just been standing with customers where the collision occurred. He said, “I just thank God we are still alive.”
The accident injured two children and four adults who were on the street, plus the driver and a passenger inside a Toyota Camry that the van hit after his medical episode.
All the accident-injury victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital with injuries. According to the news report, the van’s driver sustained another seizure after the accident and was hospitalized.
A fruit stand worker was also injured in their right leg, and eyewitnesses stated that the man was lucky to be alive.
Another witness, a 53-year-old man, who barely missed a flying piece of metal, stated that the van collided into the Crave Fishbar restaurant and was moving directly toward him before it collided into the black Toyota. The witness stated that the black Toyota saved his life.
