Pedestrian Accident in Washington Heights
WASHINGTON HEIGHTS, MANHATTAN, NY – A news report posted on pix11.com states that a hit-and-run driver collided with two women and two young boys in Washington Heights. NYPD officers reported that the victims were struck on 183rd Street by Audubon Avenue.
The two boys sustained serious injuries. The 8-year-old boy sustained back and neck injuries, and the 9-year-old boy received cuts to his legs and head. Investigators stated that a 36-year-old woman was transported to a local area hospital in critical medical condition. She sustained severe head trauma. The 28-year-old woman tragically sustained a leg fracture.
Law enforcement officers are investigating, and they are not sure if the victims are related or they know each other. The NYPD officers stated that they are looking for a grey van. Police officers are asking for tips by contacting Crime Stoppers.
