LONG ISLAND, NY – October 13, 2020 – According to a news report posted on dailyvoice.com, a man was severely injured after being the victim of a hit-and-run accident outside a Long Island bar overnight. The incident occurred at McCarthy’s Pub in Centereach off of Middle Country Road in Centereach. The accident occurred at approximately 10 p.m.
According to the news report and the Suffolk County Police, a 48-year-old man was standing alone in the Jack McCarthy’s Pub parking lot. Suddenly the victim was struck by a motor vehicle. The victim of the hit-and-run pedestrian accident was brought to Stony Brook University Hospital, where he is listed as being in serious but stable condition.
The vehicle that struck the victim has been described as a white pickup truck. The driver fled the scene of the accident southbound along Lake Grove Boulevard. Law enforcement officers with the Fourth Squad are asking the community to help in the investigation by providing any information about the accident.
