BROOKLYN, NY – July 13, 2020 – According to an online news story from nydailynews.com, the driver of a 2019 Lamborghini SUV caused a chain-reaction collision that injured a pedestrian in Brooklyn, New York. The driver of a 2019 Lamborghini SUV was moving in a northbound direction on 18th Avenue in Brooklyn, New York when the luxury SUV crashed into a Dodge pick-up truck, which was moving in an easterly direction on 65th Street in Bensonhurst. The pedestrian accident occurred at approximately 4:30 in the morning, according to police. The pedestrian was walking along the sidewalk when struck and injured.
According to police, the pedestrian injured, a 30-year-old man, was struck when the Lamborghini SUV struck and pushed the Dodge pick-up truck, and then into the pedestrian who was walking in front of a Starbucks. Emergency medical personnel quickly transported the pedestrian to Maimonides Medical Center, and the 30-year-old is in critical condition.
The three men in the 2019 Lamborghini SUV were also hospitalized. The three men were transported to local hospitals. The men sustained personal injuries, but the injuries are not considered life-threatening.
A parked motor vehicle was also struck in the accident. The accident left behind a trail of debris, and the Starbucks storefront sign was significantly damaged.
