New York Police Department administrators have reported that eight pedestrians were injured in the pedestrian accidents that have occurred in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn at street-dining areas. These street-side dining areas were sanctioned by the city for the very first time. NYC officials are trying to ease restrictions that were required to stop the spread of the coronavirus.
Street Seats is a citywide program in New York City where partners can apply to transform an underused street into beautiful, social public space in the months of March through December. The Street Seats are installed along street curbs or along wide sidewalks. Street Seats create an attractive place for eating, working, reading, meeting friends, or taking a rest.
