Fatal Hit-and-Run Accidents in NY
NEW YORK – According to a new report on nydailynews.com, a 92-year-old man was tragically killed by a hit-and-run driver as he was trying to crossing E. 40th Street in Murray Hill at around 11:30 pm. The man was hit by a dark-colored motor vehicle that was heading north along First Avenue in Manhattan.
Emergency Medical Services rushed the victim to the Bellevue Hospital for treatment of the victim’s serious head injury and other bodily injuries. Tragically, the man passed away due to the severity of his accident injuries.
Just two hours before the fatal pedestrian accident in Manhattan, a young woman was tragically killed in a pedestrian accident in Queens, New York. In Ozone Park, Queens, New York, a 24-year-old woman was trying to cross S. Conduit Avenue when she was struck by a motor vehicle traveling eastbound along S. Conduit Avenue at around 10:05 pm.
Emergency Medical Services rushed the unconscious victim to the Brookdale Hospital. However, the victim tragically died to her extensive head injuries. There was no description of the vehicle that hit her.
Police did not release her name since her family has not yet been notified of her tragic death.
