NEW YORK CITY, NY – A news article on qns.com reports that a man was caught on a surveillance camera pushing a DoorDash delivery person through a large pane of glass in front of Corato pizzeria in Ridgewood. According to law enforcement authorities, police officers from NYPD’s 104th Precinct were dispatched to the pizzeria located at 66-94 Fresh Pond Road. The 911 caller reported the incident and provided a description to police officers.
As the police officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the 57-year-old DoorDash delivery driver. The officers were told that there was a dispute with the suspect over their delivery and that video cameras recorded the suspect pushing the delivery person through a large window.
The suspect, a 24-year-old man, was then arrested and charged with harassment and assault of the driver.
The DoorDash delivery driver sustained several lacerations, according to a police incident report. The driver was taken to Elmhurst Hospital for treatment of his severe injuries. The suspect was not a pizzeria employee.
