According to the accident report, the four NYPD officers were transported to a local area hospital. Law enforcement officials stated that the severe motor vehicle accident transpired at approximately 3:30 in the afternoon at the intersection of 157th Avenue and Cross Bay Boulevard in Howard Beach.
The NYPD officers were on their way back to the police station when the incident occurred. The officers are expected to make a full recovery. Accident investigators stated that “no criminality was suspected.” However, the accident remains under investigation.
