The adjuster might call and offer a quick and easy settlement combined with an apology. The initial call from the insurance adjuster may even seem kind; the caller might even be empathetic and sound genuinely sorry for the pain and suffering the victim of a trucking accident has to endure. By offering a rapid settlement, the insurance company is trying to limit its liability by offering a settlement without getting a lawyer involved.

The first call any victim of a truck accident should make, especially an accident involving a large truck, is to a reputable truck accident lawyer.
