For the past 35 years, Jeffrey L. Goldberg, Esq. has represented New York City Civil Service Clients with pride. After receiving his JD from Brooklyn Law School in 1974, Mr. Goldberg was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1975. Mr. Goldberg worked for the New York State Assembly Codes Committee and a major insurance company, before joining a premiere Civil Service law firm which represented the Uniform Fire Officers Association. It was early in his tenure at this firm that Mr. Goldberg discovered the particular niche in which he developed a level of expertise unparalleled in New York City legal circles.
During his years of practice, Mr. Goldberg has honed his expertise in a wide variety of cases in which he was able to win justice for hundreds of beleaguered New York City workers, primarily from the New York City Police Department, New York City Fire Department, New York City Department of Correction, New York City Emergency Medical Services, New York City Department of Sanitation and other City and State agencies. The kinds of cases for which Mr. Goldberg has represented his clients (but are not limited to) are disability retirement applications, Social Security disability, Article 78 proceedings, discrimination and disqualifications. In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Mr. Goldberg assisted a large number of disabled emergency responders in obtaining the compensation they were entitled to.
Seeking new professional challenges, Mr. Goldberg became Counsel to Parker Waichman, LLP, which is one of the foremost personal injury and mass tort firms in the country. He is extremely excited about beginning what is anticipated to be a long and productive collaboration.
