Dyker Heights Storefront Hit by Car

BROOKLYN, NY- The brooklynreporter.com reports that a car drove into a gift shop in Dyker Heights on Tuesday, June 5, 2018. The accident is similar to one that occurred at a café in Bay Ridge just a few days ago.

The Brooklyn car accident happened at around 11:00 p.m.at the intersection of Eighth Avenue and 68^th Street when a Lexus reportedly ran through a stop sign and was struck by an SUV. The collision caused the SUV to lose control. The SUV then crashed into the Chung Yi Gift Inc. shop, located at 6724 Eighth Ave in Brooklyn.

Three people were injured in the crash, but two of them refused medical attention. The third person suffered serious injuries but was said to be in stable condition.

One witness was disturbed by the dangerous driving, which occurred in a residential neighborhood where she said children are pleasant.

Just four days prior to this accident, a drunk driver ran into an American Greetings shop in Bay Ridge. Last week, a car crashed into a café in Bed-Stuy.
