Teen Suicide No Warning Signs. The family of a 15-year-old boy who stole a small plane and crashed it into a skyscraper two years ago says there were no warning signs he was planning such a dramatic act which mimicked the September 11 terrorist attacks.
The mother and grandmother of Charles Bishop, who was killed in the crash, tells their Accutane attorney the boy was bright, well-adjusted and happy. He was not the troubled loner some described after his suicide note, which was sympathetic to Osama bin Laden, was discovered in the wreckage.
Accutane lawsuit
Their comments come in depositions taken in a $70 million dollar Accutane lawsuit against the makers of the acne drug.
Drug company Hoffman-LaRoche filed the depositions in Tampa federal court along with a request for a judge to dismiss the case before it goes to trial.
The boy’s grandmother says the only thing she and her daughter regret is allowing Charles to take the acne-fighting drug. They initially were concerned about the risk of Accutane depression, but signed off on a doctors’ prescription when no other medicine helped his painful acne.
