Allercleanse Nasal Spray Recall
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced the recall of a nasal spray that is possibly contaminated with yeast. The fungal contamination places vulnerable people at risk of contracting a life-threatening fungal infection. Allercleanse Nasal Spray has initiated a recall of one lot of its nasal spray sold under the brand name Manukaguard from NDAL MFG INC.
The nasal spray was sold to consumers online and at various retail stores. The company that is recalling the product is warning customers and distributors about the urgent recall. According to the recall notice, the fungal contamination could cause health problems that might “necessitate medical or surgical intervention.” The recall states that people with a suppressed immune system could sustain an invasive life-threatening fungal infection. When the company announced the recall, there were no negative reports received by the company. The recall says that if anyone believes they have experienced adverse effects while using the nasal spray should speak to the doctor as soon as possible.
The nasal spray product was sold nationwide through Amazon.com, retail stores, and distributors. The recall only affects one lot of the nasal spray, which was sold in a cardboard box and with one unit per box. The recalled nasal spray products have a UPC number of “858631002128.” The product’s lot number is 2010045 and has an expiration date of “BB 10/2023.”
According to the company that initiated the recall, NDAL MRG INC has stated that purchasers with the recalled product can contact Manuka Guard’s support team. Purchases may return the nasal spray at the place of purchase or toss it away in the garbage. The recall states that purchasers should immediately stop using the nasal spray and return the product for a replacement.
