Unsure of e cigarette ingredients
NBC News published a feature article on the hazards of using e-cigarette products in the wake of the startling death of a woman in Kansas who passed away within one week of using e-cigarettes for the first time. Medical experts know that vaping is extremely harmful to a person’s well-being. However, no one is certain what chemicals are contained in the vaping products that are making people ill. There seems to be a widely held belief that nicotine, cannabis, oils, and various flavorings may be found in vaping products. However, no one is certain, and that is why some health experts are calling for a moratorium on the sale of e-cigarette products in the U.S.
The American Heart Association’s deputy chief science and medical officer lamented the current public health scare barreling across the country. The expert said that the country as a whole has allowed an entire generation of people to become addicts to inhaling vapors from an e-cigarette. Many entities fought hard to wean people off of cigarette smoking. But, after touting some success in breaking America’s addiction to cigarettes, the country has lost ground due to the popularity of the vaping industry. Several health agencies have announced their strong stance against e-cigarette use in the country. Unanimously, health agencies and advocacy groups say that vaping is extremely dangerous and is not in any way a healthy alternative to smoking cigarettes or using any other tobacco products.
Strong educational programs pushed today’s 20-somethings away from tobacco use. Now, concerned entities and even private citizens are stepping up to educate children on the dangers of vaping. There is also a push to outlaw flavored e-cigarette products. Experts opine that the flavored products seduce children to try vaping and they become hooked instantly. There is some evidence to suggest that kids who “vape” will eventually turn to traditional tobacco products to satisfy their cravings.
