
Wayne farms chicken breast fillets recall
According to a news report posted on foodpoisoningbulletin.com, the current Wayne Farms, LLC undercooked chicken breast fillet recall was expended. The recall originally recalled around 30,000 pounds of chicken breast fillets but now affects another 585,000 pounds. The recall update states that there are five new production codes and 66 separate use-by dates for the recalled products. The recall update also affects several new products, more sizes, additional distribution information, and expanded weights.
The recalled chicken breast fillet products were manufactured between February 9, 2022, and April 30, 2022. Photographs of the product labels of the recalled undercooked chicken breast fillets can be viewed on the USDA’s website. The recalled products include:
- 9-pound cases with eight packages of six-ounce ALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST that have use-by dates from 5/10/22 to 4/29/23.
- 9-pound cases with twelve packages of four-ounce ALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST that have use-by dates from 5/10/22 to 4/29/23.
- 6-pound cases with twenty-four individual packages of four-ounce ALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST FILLET that have a use-by date of 3/5/23.
- 16-ounce CHEF’S CRAFT CHICKEN BREAST FILLET with an establishment number P-20214 printed by the 3/23/2023 best by date.
These chicken products bear the establishment number “EST. 20214” printed on the packaging and case. Recalled chicken breast fillet products were shipped to distributors, restaurants, and retail locations nationwide. The company’s retail locations are in Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service says that it is concerned that some of these recalled chicken breast fillet food products are in restaurants’ and consumers’ refrigerators and freezers. Consumers are urged to check their freezer to see if they have any of the affected products. If so, do not eat or serve them. The product can be returned from the place of purchase for a refund, or the product should be thrown in the garbage.
