Bicycle Helmets Are Being Recalled By The CPSC. Bicycle helmets made by City of Industry-based Mackarl Enterprises and KHS Bicycles Inc. have been recalled by The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission.
Recalled Helmets Brand Names
The commission says the DBX Engage (VT-3), DBX Ravage (FX-2), and Geartec ESPY helmets pose head-injury risks if the rider wearing them falls off a bike.
No injuries have been reported, the commission says. But, the recall has been made for precautions.
The DBX Engage (VT-3), DBX Ravage (FX-2) helmets were sold at Dicks Sporting Goods stores nationwide from June 2003-2004 for $30 to $60. KHS Bicycles sold the Geartec ESPY helmets at its stores between May and June of 2003 for about $40.
