Fatal Southern State Parkway accident
According to an online news report posted on abc7ny.com, an accident on Southern State Parkway left two tragically killed, and four injured on Long Island, New York. The fatal accident happened in Nassau County on Thanksgiving night. the accident occurred on the westbound lanes of Southern State Parkway by exit 21 in Roosevelt. The accident occurred at approximately t 8:30 p.m.
Police officers at the scene of the accident stated that two motor vehicles were involved in the collision. The accident resulted in the tragic deaths of a 23-year-old Bay Shore woman and a 23-year-old Brooklyn man. The victims passed away at the accident scene.
Four more individuals were taken to a local area hospital. The Southern State Parkway was shut down as law enforcement officers investigated the accident. The roadway was closed from 8:30 p.m. on Thursday to 3:30 a.m. Friday.
The accident is currently under investigation.
