According to an article posted on dailyvoice.com, one person was tragically killed in a three-vehicle accident in Selden, Long Island, New York. The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 in the morning.
According to the news report, a 75-year-old man from Riverhead was driving west along Route 25 in his 2019 Chevrolet van. The Suffolk County Police reported that the man allegedly drove his Chevrolet van up onto a curb, then hit a 1997 Dodge pickup truck, and then hit a parked motor vehicle that was parked on North Bicycle Path.
According to Suffolk County police, accident investigators suspect that the driver might have suffered a medical event as he was driving. The man was taken to a local area hospital. While the man was receiving treatment at the Stony Brook University Hospital, the man tragically passed away and was later pronounced dead.
The Dodge pickup truck that was struck has two male occupants inside of the vehicle. The Chevrolet van and the Dodge pickup truck were impounded for safety checks. The accident in Suffolk County is currently under investigation.
