Two vehicle accident in Suffolk county
According to an online news report on dailyvoice.com, a woman received severe personal injuries when she was involved in a serious two-vehicle accident on Nicolls Road on Long Island, New York. The collision occurred on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 at approximately 9:3o a.m. in Centereach, New York.
A 21-year-old woman, from Hampton Bays, was driving a Subaru on Nicolls Road in a northbound direction. According to Suffolk County Police, as the woman´s Subaru passed over the road´s center median, her vehicle hit the rear of a trailer heading in a southbound direction. Before emergency crews could arrive at the accident scene, a Good Samaritan gave aid to the victim of the accident. The victim was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for medical treatment of her personal injuries.
There were no other injuries. Officers with the Motor Carrier Safety Section examined the trailer at the accident scene. Police investigators impounded the Subaru and will conduct a safety inspection. Investigators are requesting anyone with knowledge about the accident to contact the Sixth Squad at 631-854-8652.
