Motorcycle accident in coram
CORAM, LONG ISLAND, NY – October 13, 2020 – According to an online news report on the DailyVoice.com, a serious two-vehicle accident in Coram on Long Island, New York, severely injured two people. The collision occurred along Route 112 in Coram. According to the news report, the two people were injured in one car. A driver and a passenger were received severe injuries in the two-vehicle Long Island accident that occurred at approximately 10:30 am in Coram.
The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Port Jefferson Station, was driving his 2007 Suzuki motorcycle in a northbound direction along on Route 112. As the biker continued along Route 112, a 2014 Honda pulled out in front of the motorcyclist and struck the motorcycle, according to Suffolk County Police. The driver in the Honda was pulling out of a gas station at the time of the accident. The impact sent the motorcycle driver and his 19-year-old female passenger flying into the air. The passenger is from Port Jefferson Station, New York. The couple on the motorcycle was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital. The two sustained severe personal injuries.
The Honda driver, a 47-year-old woman from Coram, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of her “minor injuries,” according to the news report. Both the motorcycle and the Honda were impounded by accident investigators. Both motor vehicles will be inspected. The accident investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the accident is being asked to provide that information to the Sixth Squad.
