According to a news report published on Dailyvoice.com, a man was struck and tragically killed when he was hit by two motor vehicles at a hectic intersection on Long Island, New York. The fatal pedestrian accident occurred Thursday night at about 11 p.m. in Hempstead, New York. The news report states that the victim was walking, and he was trying to cross Peninsula Boulevard along the Washington Street intersection. Nassau County Police have not identified the victim.
According to the Nassau County Police, the report alleges the victim was first struck by a 2011 Toyota Camry. The Toyota Camry driver, a 34-year-old man, was heading northbound on Peninsula Boulevard when the accident occurred, according to Nassau County Police.
The second motor vehicle to strike the victim is a 2012 Nissan Murano. The Nissan Murano was traveling along the adjacent lane on Peninsula Boulevard. The Nissan Murano was being driven by a 54-year-old woman. She also struck the victim who was lying on the ground.
According to the news report, both drivers stayed at the accident scene to discuss the accident with law enforcement. The pedestrian accident victim sustained numerous traumatic, fatal personal injuries. The victim of the accident was pronounced dead at the accident scene. Law enforcement is investigating the tragic, fatal pedestrian accident.
